FOR ABA EMPLOYERS

Write an ABA job post candidates can actually evaluate.

The best first step is to describe the real role. A candidate should know where the work happens, how the schedule works and what happens after clicking Apply.

Which hiring channel fits this opening?

Start with the role and commuting area. An ABA job board helps candidates compare relevant roles; a general job board reaches a broader audience; a local professional group can reach nearby people. Results depend on the opening and audience. None guarantees applicants or hiring.

Use one accurate job page as the destination for your sharing. If you already have an application form or applicant tracking system, keep it: link to the specific opening so candidates do not have to search your careers page again.

What should the job post include?

Describe one opening clearly

Use a recognizable title such as Behavior Technician, RBT or BCBA. State the location or service area, work setting, required credentials, full-time or part-time status, and expected days and hours. For remote roles, specify eligible states and any travel or in-person duties. Use one listing per role and location.

Make compensation understandable

Give a real pay range and its unit, such as dollars per hour or year. Explain whether scheduled hours are guaranteed and whether cancellations, documentation, meetings, travel and training are paid. For BCBA roles, include caseload or billable-hour expectations and how nonbillable clinical work is handled. For BT and RBT roles, explain training and supervision arrangements without promising that a candidate’s fieldwork will automatically qualify.

Keep the application path working

Link to the exact job or a relevant application page on your company website. Check the link on a phone, and close the listing when the role is filled. If your applicant tracking system supports source parameters, you can include them in your application link. Find A Para measures listing views and apply clicks; a click does not confirm that someone finished an application.

A short template you can use

[Company] is hiring a [role] in [city, state]. Work setting: [clinic, home, school, hybrid or remote restrictions]. Pay: [range and hourly or annual unit]. Schedule: [days and times]; paid hours: [confirmed terms or not yet specified]. Requirements: [credentials and experience]. Paid training, travel and cancellation terms: [actual terms]. Apply: [direct application URL].

Replace every bracket with your actual terms. If a detail is unknown, say so rather than implying a guarantee.

How much does posting cost?

The first approved standard listing is currently free for 30 days, one per company. Check current pricing and placement terms before requesting additional or featured listings. There is no promise of applications or hiring.

Publish and maintain the listing

An authorized employer can submit a job for review. Approved standard listings run for 30 days and can be closed sooner. The first approved standard listing is currently free, without a card or automatic renewal. Employers who need multiple jobs reviewed can share a careers page; that request starts a review and does not import jobs automatically.
