How to compare ABA jobs in Illinois

Compare Chicago addresses, not just the city label

Chicago postings may identify a neighborhood or a street address. Use that information when comparing work in Bronzeville with another Chicago clinic, and compare suburban openings such as Oak Lawn, Cicero, Elgin and Waukegan separately. Ask whether you would stay at the advertised site.

Check after-school and hybrid schedules

If a clinical role says after-school or hybrid, request the actual onsite hours and days. Ask how supervision, assessments and documentation fit around those hours. For technician roles, confirm whether your schedule changes with client availability or school breaks.

Read the conditions behind a sign-on bonus

Some job titles advertise a bonus. Confirm the payment schedule, eligibility and any repayment terms in the employer’s written offer. Compare the base compensation and expected hours separately; the headline bonus does not describe ongoing earnings.

Applying and checking availability

Use “Apply on employer website” to open the original posting and submit your application there. Find A Para does not receive your application, and the employer decides eligibility and hiring.

The date on each card is our source-check date, not the date the employer first posted the job. References are hidden seven days after their last check unless refreshed. An employer can close an opening sooner; report a closed listing if you find one.
